Freckle and other funny Jack quotes

My sweet boy discovered his first freckle on his sweet round belly yesterday. He said "there is something on me." I explained how freckles make you special! We were happy for him. It will be the first of many with "our genes."
However, now, he wants to see everyone's freckles, including lifting up the back of his NeNe's shirt. We got a huge laugh out of it. He is a curious little comedian.

Other news...he accidentally tooted on me and likes to tell everyone now. (Told me I needed a bath afterwards)

He loves to add "actually" and "I can't believe it!" in his conversations.

He corrects people if they say "oh my gosh" by saying "oh, boy."

He thinks the birds talk to him and uses a high squeaky voice to interpret what they are saying.

He says his Daddy has a "beard on your belly."

I said that "stinks" and he said "no, mommy, poo stinks." I explained to him that other things can stink. He said "shoo-wee." Cracks me up.

Fun and Productive Day

We played outside almost every hour he was awake today. And, it was glorious.

I made items for a Baby Shower I am throwing in April. I also made goodie bags for Jack's Birthday party at the end of March. And, I made an insert for invitations that I am sending out for a Surprise party in 2 weeks.

With everything going on in the next few weeks (non party related), it is important that I work on things daily so it won't be overwhelming. I am in my element. I LOVE making things for parties and am thrilled with our social calendar until the second week of April. One day, I will do this professionally. That is on my goal list. To be an event planner. (when my babies are older) I love to party. Parties bring people together and bring joy to lives. We all need joy in our lives. You just don't know what people could be going through……..and a party brings some relief during that time.

Daddy/Son day

I have thoroughly enjoyed watching my boys spend time together today.
They played this morning while I went to a bible study.  I TOTALLY needed to start this bible study today and think it going to really help me become a better mother and wife! I have a new energy and enthusiasm for my job as mom.
Then, we all went on a family walk and ate lunch on our deck. Today is GORGEOUS!

Then, we all took naps and now my boys are off again! They are going to the playground and going to have dinner at a local pizza place while Mommy goes to Bunco. I loved how our boy was so excited to go with Daddy and spend time with him. He said "Have fun, mommy!" He blew me a kiss and practically skipped to the car. He was so proud to be with his favorite guy on the planet. Plus, it is great that our neighbor is a SAHD (stay-at-home-dad) and he will be joining them for the playground date.

Nothing makes me happier to know that they are having quality time while I have some time to myself. I am blessed to have these times with our crazy schedule. It might not be a typical Saturday feeling that I grew up with, but it is "our" Saturday.

Now, I need to get some chores done while listening to girlie music (NOT Toddler Radio) and enjoy some pampering before Bunco tonight!!

Only in Georgia

Can we go from 60 degrees on Monday, to 8 degrees on Wednesday, with 4 inches of snow and ice on the ground and then back to raining and 69 degrees on Sunday. All in one week. Whew!

Jack: I stepped in water.
(Takes one sock off)
Mommy: Here are some new socks.
Jack: I don't want new socks.
Mommy: your feet need to be warm. You will be "cool" and "stylin'" if your socks match your pants.
Jack: I don't want be "cool." I want to be warm.

Go to sleep, my gymnast.

See this??? This is am example of what I saw in the monitor. We are going to have to go from a toddler bed to a twin bed. He is sideways doing back bends and tells me he can see his toys upside down. (On his pillow)

Who taught him this trick?

Go to sleep, my gymnast.
