It is so quiet in the house.
I am rocking in my glider.
Dishes need to be loaded.
Laundry needs to be changed over.
I think I will sit still for 30 more minutes.
Today was a wild day.
Blessed and humbled by being a SAHM.

Fail
I made an awesome last minute meal, however, I forgot to wake up my hubby for his night shift. It is our ritual to go and hang out to wake him up. He liked the meal...
I hope he is not late!
Talking during Naptime
My parents got letters sent home to them from my Kindergarden teacher saying that I do not nap during nap time and instead talk and sing when everyone else around me is trying to nap.
I think I passed that on to Jackson. He has been singing/humming and talking to himself and to his animals for the past 30 minutes.
At least he is not bothering anyone.
Affectionate
Our son is so affectionate as of recently. He just wants to hug and kiss me. When I hold him he wraps his arms around me and pats me on the back. If he accidentally hits you, he says " I sawee, led ma kiss it." He is so hilarious in how you don't expect a two year old boy to act like this.
He is so much like his Daddy in being such a sweet teddy bear. I hope he grows up to be just like his Daddy.

car ride/store meltdown
I needed a few things at Target after early service today. Jackson decided he didn't want to go to Target and made the trip a little miserable. He cried that he wanted to "hold you" the whole 30 minutes back home.
When we arrived at the house he was the happiest dude on the planet. He has been joyfully playing with his train for 30 minutes now while I have been getting lunch prepared.
The "2 year old phase" is like a woman with PMS. You are fine one minute and then you are crying for no reason- only to be crying.
I am so glad naptime is coming up soon. I am going to bake a cake for some stress therapy.

Phone commercial
My husband is like the cell phone commercial where the guy is trying to purposely give his cell phone away. My husband's phone works but only for texts and data. He cannot vocally talk to anyone on the phone because he cannot be heard on his end of the line. All I hear is static when he talks on the phone.
I guess were getting him a new iPhone this week.
Well played, hubby.
Rough night
It was a rough night. Jack has had a nightmare at 2am for the last 5 days.
Last night was the worst.
Thankfully, he is still sleeping at 9am.
I slept hard from 3-9am . Hopefully, we will both be in a great mood today.

Lunch and plane watching
Traveling in the airport can be stressful when trying to find something to eat. Today, there is Five Guys next door to our gate. I am safe eating there with my gluten problem. My belly is full and I am ready for this flight with a two-year-old.
1:30am
Finished with all the "stuff" that goes along with going on a vacation.
packed.
cleaned.
organized.
purchased new clothes for Jack. It is chilly where we are headed.
repacked to make room for the new clothes.
taken photos of all clothes going in suitcases. we lost all of our clothes 2 years ago from someone stealing our luggage.
that took forever.
hubby working.
he gets off in 5.5 hours.
maybe I can sleep in?
goodnight, world.

Rough day
It was a "flat tire scare," long drive (7 hours) by myself, gross public bathrooms, "left in plenty of time, but still late to small group because of bad drivers," dog poop on Jack's shoes while walking around in someone's home, "did I get the so called poop on my hip when I picked him up??" kind of day.
2 days until family vacation. :)

Packing
Head-to-toe check is what my Daddy taught me.
I get to pack for a little person and for my hubby too this trip.
However, there is a sweet bear hubby sleeping in his cave, um, closet... so I can't get any of our clothes out. :-)

2 minutes for a 2 year old
Does the librarian lady in charge of Storytime know that a 2 year cannot sit still for 30 minutes listening to 4-5 long books? She needs to realize when no one is paying attention to the books, it is time to move on to the craft time.

Starbucks
It feels funny to sit outside at my Starbucks and not be on a 10 minute break.
Almost 2 years of my life was devoted to this store.
Love the drinks and the people, but I do not miss working here. :-)

Late nap
We are purposely letting Jack stay up until 1:00pm so he will sleep during my doctor's appointment.
Hubs sleeps all day due to night shift.
Oh the weird things you do when you have an odd schedule. :-)
No train
I am not feeling enthusiastic about playing "train" today.
I keep distracting him by pulling out every toy except the train set.

Not tired
I thought that my son would go to sleep without a problem. We had a fun, busy day and he didn't take a long nap. He has been in his bed an hour without even tempting to snuggle down and drift off to sleep.
Seriously, I could go to sleep right now, but I have "miles to go before I sleep....."
I wish he knew how good he has it.....
Great morning of hide and seek
I am getting used to 6:30a. We were able to pick daddy up from work and get breakfast together. We saw the sunrise and had wonderful conversations with Jackson.
Jackson: "where did the sun go?"
Daddy: "it is hiding behind the clouds."
Jackson: " Shhh...quiet...it is hiding..."
(Reference to hide and seek..)
"Peek-a-boo!!!"
I love how his sweet brain works...
Photo before it went behind the clouds.

Boom. Boom. Boom.
Fireworks and gunshots sound similar.
Since when did Labor Day and Fourth of July both have fireworks????
