Score for potty training

Our son just woke me up at 6am telling me he had to go pee pee in the potty. He actually went...new pull up on and back to sleep. Score!!

I was trying to pull my tangled bed covers up and punched myself in the face. Time to go to sleep. 

Singing

My son has been singing his made up songs for 10 minutes straight. This boy loves to sing. I am enjoying the entertainment.

No sweets on weekdays

I did this method last year and lost 10 pounds of post baby weight. 

I have gained a little back and am going back to my "no sweets on weekdays."

Until Thanksgiving...because that is on a Thursday. :-)

We will be outside if anyone needs us. The weather is going to drop drastically in the next few days. We are going to enjoy it now. Windows open, sun shining! 

Cough

I coughed so hard my cough drop flew out of my mouth.

Recovering kitchen chairs

Due to one messy boy, our chair cushions are disgusting. I found some fabric in our closet and decided to recover them today.

Bubbles in my body

While Jack was taking a bath, he tooted in water and it made bubbles. He looked at me and said "there's bubbles in my body." 

He calls his butt his "body."

Saturday

I am really missing that childhood Saturday feeling. Our schedules are untraditional and not like a typical family.

Plus, I am sick and have no energy to do anything, when I am nonstop kind if gal.

I have been up with my son since 6am. Is it really only 10am? 

I need a good movie, soup, and a fireplace with a toasty fire. 

I guess I will settle for the soup and movie when my son goes down for nap.

And, the babbling typing will stop....

Jack was so sweet and asked to rub my back and got me a blanket from his room. I must look really rough for my 2 year old to be that concerned. Ha!

Illness

I have strep throat. I am blessed to be able to go to the doctor at 7:25am so my hubby could go to sleep after night shift.

I took Jack to the doc. He is sick. Amoxicillin for him.

My hubs is going to the doc at 3pm. He is not feeling well with head junk.

I hope we all get better soon. We have a family trip coming up and we need to be well.

For now, I am drinking a ridiculous amount of hot drinks. Soup and grits are on the menu for meals too.

flu shot fail, sick boy, and a saleslady trying to sell me a minivan.

My sweet boy has a cold. I think the last time he was sick was LAST Fall. He rarely gets sick and when he does, it makes my heart hurt.

He has a cough that makes his face red. However, he is adorable when he coughs into the pit of his arm. He picked up on that right away. It makes me smile when he forgets and then covers up afterwards. He looks at me like "did I do that right, mom?!?!" I just shake my head and smile.

I got a flu shot yesterday. The girl didn't quite stick me in the correct place of my arm. I am not a religious flu shot person and have really only gotten maybe 2 in my adult life. I just am a laid back person when it comes to that shot because I rarely get sick and it is just not one that I think about getting each year. So, I was getting blood done to make sure my insides were good. (my last physical was 10 years ago) And, everything is good. While I was there they asked if I wanted to get one. Sure.....why not. Dummy. Now, my arm looks like this. ha! Oh, well. I will see what it does in the morning. I am more concerned with my snotty, coughing, sweet little boy.

While I was getting my oil changed at the dealer, I was approached 3 times about how much they wanted MY CAR. I actually laughed out loud and told them, "I know you do. I get notified of this on a monthly basis." Silly Honda does not make their Element anymore. We had a hard enough time trying to buy one 2 years ago. We got a great deal with low mileage. Well, now, we get calls, letters, and today, they approached me about buying it from me while I am getting the oil changed. I even got it appraised while drinking a free soda. I can actually get it for more than they offered, but I wasn't about to make deals today. I had lunch to make for my family. However, we are thinking about trading it in at some point. However, today, was not the day.


Well, going to work on somethings and hit the bed. It has been a wild day.
