Teething and dirty diapers

Poor Jack. He has NEVER had the diarrhea diapers with teething. This week has been a new experience. He doesn't feel bad, but he lets us know when it hurts when we change his diaper. With his sad, pitiful face, he signs "hurt" to us. Like this, except, he did not have a smile on his face like this woman. It makes me so sad. He is bouncing around the house and doesn't even let me know when it happens. I changed 5 horrible diapers today. The kind where I want to just put him in the bathtub. Poor dude. I am hoping he will get better soon, or we might miss an exciting time at a birthday party on Saturday. I just don't want to expose little ones if it is not teething. However, he has a great appetite (I am limiting a lot right now) and he is his normal bubbly self.

The last two weeks, I was noticing that he was recognizing some numbers. I wasn't as direct when asking him to tell me the numbers on toys. (As you know from videos of the Alphabet...which I think he knows them all now) Tonight, we were playing with a stacking cake set. They have numbers on them, the stars on each layer match the number on the side. It is a fantastic toy from his sweet cousins. See the toy here. I like links tonight. He proudly told me each number as we stacked them. I couldn't believe it. When did this happen? So, we practiced like 5 more times because I just wanted to hear his sweet little voice exclaim each number.

So, he knows his shapes if I ask him to point to a certain shape out of a group. He can't pronounce them yet. He knows all his letters and numbers 1-10. I am one proud mama!

Well, here are some photos of our playtime this morning. I think this window photo is one of my favorites!
Jack did not have eyebrows when he was born. I think they are here now! This face is cracking me up. What in the world?!? :)

He is getting so big!!

Looking for birds. I LOVE the feeling of this early morning scene.

Mommy's Weekend

I went to see my best friend, Mer over the weekend. I had the best time relaxing and getting some much needed girl time in.
We went to Target and found these wonderful lights for her new home. I am on the phone with Ben.

I love her friends too! Heck, she is my friend! Lindsey is amazing!

Telling stories in her gorgeous kitchen

She is an amazing cook.

Which paint color? Hmmmm

Best Friends since 7th grade!

Favorite Spot in his room.

Teddy Bear love. He pats it on his back while hugging him.

Pinterest Inspired Valentine Feb 1-14

I decided to give my hubby little treats from February 1-14th. It was fun hiding them in random places for him to find. Here are a few that I gave him. I am sorry that I do not have a link to them to Pinterest. I forgot to "pin" it and just printed the labels.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!

Blueberry Muffins

Starbucks was throwing away blueberries last night, so I took them home and we made blueberry muffins with my little man this morning. Thank you, Starbucks.

Camera Unloaded.

Jackson and I heard these wonderful birds while eating breakfast. It was very exciting for both of us. They first decided to hang out in the trees in the back yard. It was a foggy, mysterious looking morning.

We went to check on Grandmommy or Ra Ra when we took our trip to Cumming. She had eye surgery and enjoyed a little excitement after a stressful couple of days.

Possibly my favorite photo of these two. Big Jack and Little Jack. I love those hard work hands holding his sweet little great grandson.

Today was a rainy day, but we had fun inside!

Gotta line up those cars.

Who me?!?

He watched the school bus pass by his window. I love the tip toes. :)

Peek-a-boo in his fort. He has all of his stuffed animals under his table. He likes to chill in there.

Daddy, you had a hard day of class, let's take a nap together.

I love those slippers.

Mom, no girls allowed. Sorry.

Rainy Day break

We had a break in the rain to run to the Post Office to drop off some packages. My little man was the sweetest boy and even said "buh bye" to all the employees. Then, some Pinterest food for lunch (determined to try all of my recipes I pinned) and now, for a little play time before nap.

Downton Abbey for mommy during naptime. I can't wait. :)
