Bunk Bed Mattress

After our rough afternoon, we were able to get his bunk bed mattress up on his bunk and ceremoniously watch him climb the ladder for the first time. His mood immediately changed and he was back to his old sweet self. He ended up taking an hour nap and going to bed early, which helped everyone out.

I think I will head to bed now. I need all the energy I can get with a preschool kiddo and being 34 weeks preggo.

Bad Afternoon

I am having a bad afternoon and wish my hubby was not on night shift and could cheer me up.

2 more hours and he will be awake…..until then, I guess my son will not be taking a nap today and I have to go clean up a poopy pull up. I hate potty training.

Nesting BFF

I am so tired my BFF is voluntarily "nesting" for me. She has more drive than I do. I just want to sit in my comfy glider and rest. Very thankful to have my friends over to spend time with them before Norah joins our family.

Two mornings in a row for my boy's wake up time. ;-/ I need to go to bed earlier....whew! I see a small cup of coffee in my future! 

Pace yourself

My BFF is here until Sunday. We can't stay up all night talking because the three year old will wake up at 6:30am tomorrow morning.  

We need to pace ourselves. 

I love having her here. Especially when the hubs is on nightshift. 

Waiting

Resting and waiting for little man to get up so we can go pick up my best friend (of 20yrs!) in Columbus! I am really looking forward to her visit this weekend.

Relief

I have been pondering over where our office supplies would go once I used the bedroom closet for our new daughter's clothes and toys. I seriously have been back and forth with ideas. I thought I had decided on an IKEA piece of furniture that would be mounted to the wall so it would not obstruct our floor vent. Then, I thought I would find an antique piece of furniture that was higher off the ground. Who wants to go to sleep at night and look at an ugly piece of furniture with office supplies showing?!?  This had to be a good investment and not a "fixer upper."

Then, today, I went downtown and got more stressed out because I couldn't find exactly what I wanted and even went to Big Lots in search of a cabinet. They had a piece of furniture that would work, but it cost $200! I later found out that they had an identical piece for $100 at Target. Image that!?

Well, I was relaxing in my rocker listening to my hubby read our son bedtime stories and I had a crazy idea! We have a secretary that sits high off the ground that was holding odds and ends not really being too useful sitting in our foyer. I almost jumped up and down at the thought of not having to spend any money and discovering that it was perfect for our room and is great to look at. My husband was happy to see this project come to an end.

I can go to sleep tonight knowing that all our supplies are tucked away behind this beautiful piece of furniture, but very accessible for the family to get the supplies they need in an organized space.
