Rainy day beauty

I feel so blessed by all the beauty around me. I have so many dreams for our little yard yard. I just need the money and resources and I am ready to go! I love working in the yard and would do it everyday if I could. I get so sad when it rains because it means I can't improve my yard for the day. Then, I just type in "yard" on Pinterest and dream away.

We had a break in the rain today and Jackson and I went on a walk. Overnight this tree has bloomed and it is gorgeous!! It is my favorite spot in the whole yard. It reminds me of a fairy tale tree. I would love to do a photo shoot of a cute little girl under this tree.

Instead of a photo of my busy toddler, I decided that this would be my photo of the day. My charming little tree on the side of the house. Enjoy the beauty around you today.

Tubes

Tomorrow Jackson will have tubes put in his ears. We are excited for relief for him because at his check up yesterday, both his ears were still infected.
Sadly, we will have to drive in bad weather to get there. We have to go to another town to have this procedure done. Please pray for safe travels for us.

Other news, I am really enjoying this photo of the day. I am going to make a book in December for Jackson to have when he is older. I hope I can keep this up. :)

Off to get my boy up on this rainy day......

Swing

Taken with my (dumb) phone. I will be upgrading this summer! Woohoo! Anyway, my son does not usually enjoy swinging, but today was a special day. He didn't want to swing but 5 minutes, but it was enjoyable watching his face light up with each pass.

Almost 22 months

To document my son's "likes" at 22 months:

  1. Cars
  2. Trains
  3. Planes
  4. Slides at the playground
  5. Kitchens and cooking
  6. Dancing
  7. Music: Row Row Row Your Boat, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Wheels on the bus
  8. Not spilling food (seriously will say uh-oh repeatedly until someone cleans it up)
  9. Making silly faces
  10. Riding Daddy's back like a cowboy
  11. Books
  12. Being outside (cries when we have to come in)
  13. Sleeping. (it took 9 months, but once we got there, he realized it was pretty great)
  14. Animals
  15. Organizing anything. Lining it up in a row.
  16. Super Why! and Blues Clues Show

Jogging Stroller

While at a Colorado Good Will, Becky looked over and saw a jogging stroller for sale. It actually was brought in that morning to sell. It just needed a little cleaning up and it was good to go. .........$26! We have been wanting one for a while.

The last two days, I have put the "jogging" part to good use. I am NOT a runner by any means, but in the one mile walk we took today, I jogged quite a bit. I feel so energized. I find jogging with a stroller feels and looks better than me (looking like a goof) jogging by myself.

To top it off, when we got home, my son promptly starting running around the house pushing his bike by the handles backwards around the kitchen island. I think he liked jogging too.  Toddlers. notice. everything. :)

Our Weekend Photos

Jackson loves to line up cars, animals, anything. He likes to organize things, but he DOES NOT like me to put toys back in a bucket. He can hear me cleaning up and comes over and dumps out the bucket.

Can you tell this is where my son spends most of his time?!? And, same scene. Animals up on the kitchen counter. He might not be a chef yet, but he is enjoying having a little corner for his own imagination time.

Did I mention that I just love this boy?!?
