Smack those lips.

I love it when Jack is about to eat and he will smack his lips or post- eating, do the same.
It is sooo adorable.

He is enjoying pulling up on EVERYTHING and is starting to crawl more.

He is sleeping better at night, but not through the night. One day....

Alright, he is done eating. More sleep for me. Goodnight..

In 7 days.....

Jackson has changed so much in 7 days and I am shocked I have not been on here. Work has been crazy! This week, I worked Monday night, split shift on Tuesday, none on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night. I did a Thirty-one holiday Expo show yesterday from 10-4 and I have day two of the show today from 12:30-3:00. Wild!!

Alright, my little man is growing up so fast!

Ben was studying for his exam on Monday night and Jackson was playing on the floor. Ben needed more index cards so he went into the guest bedroom for a "second" and when he came back, Jackson was holding onto the couch, eating his index cards that were left alone on the couch. "Nom, Nom, Nom" Um, he can pull up! That night, he decided he wanted to pull up on the bed. Now, when he wakes up, that is what he does religiously. We have now lowered the bed. :)

Wednesday, his second bottom tooth popped through now and he has two bottom teeth now.

Monday, he took one normal crawling step...and then would fall down. By Friday, he would take 6 crawling steps and fall down. I think I am going to be chasing Jackson from now on.

He went to bed at 8 and i am now nursing him at 4:30!!!!!

And, we started eating meat. Enough said. :)

Oh, what a week can do.

Sleepy boy

I was feeding Jack and trying to burp him and somehow his head ended up resting on my hand. Remember when you were little and you would be at a table and put your cheek on the table to sleep?! My hand. The table.

Okay, he was completely asleep letting me pat his back, sitting straight up. So.cute.

I took a mental picture.

Gosh, I love this sleepy boy.

6 days

Jackson decided that between 5-6 AM seems to be a good time to start his day. The time change really threw him off. This went on for 6 days! And, I will add, he magically knew his mommy got home from work at 11pm....and would want to be fed and play.
6 days....it took to break one of those habits. Small victory. I fed him at 11:30 and then at 4. USUALLY...err, lately, he does not want to go back to sleep at 4, but this morning, he slept until 7 AM. He finally got it.

Now, if I can just get rid of the waking up twice at night. He is teething, so we are working on making him comfortable....as possible..

In other great news, he is pulling up by himself and getting that rocking going like he is about to take off in a race. Must.baby proof.the.house.

He is eating baby food three times a day and puffs. He as mastered pinching the disolvable puffs with his adorable fingers and hitting his target around 89.76% of the time!
*documentation done in this study.

And, to end this post, I absolutely love dancing with my son. We dance "old school style" and he knows exactly what to do. He will grab my thumb and even loves pressing his cheek up to mine. We could dance for hours and he would never get tired. Love my boy!

I tried everything

Jack slept from 8-3. I fed him at 3, but this time was different. He did NOT want to go back to sleep. He acted like I had caffeine in my milk. I tried rocking, music, rubbing his back. "cry it out" method. He was WIDE awake!

He finally slept from 4:30-5:30. At 5:30, he woke up AGAIN and he ended up sleeping on my chest. That is definitely not my ideal situation, but I was desperate. I worked at Starbucks until 10:45 and I was turning into a zombie.

What do you do when this happens? He has Never wanted refuse going back to sleep at night.

My little helper

While Jackson rode in the Snuglei carrier, I raked. He enjoyed the fresh air and even helped rake....by grabbing the handle. He enjoyed that game.
Also, only mommy got a blister. :) I am sure the neighbors enjoyed the show.

BTW, our yard looks great! Tomorrow's forecast: thunderstorms. At least it was pretty for one day!
