I love trying to wake up Jack with kisses. He smiles a little Elvis smile like "awww, mom" He is just like his Daddy. I love my son.

Traveling Baby

Tomorrow is the Adoption Auction for my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. I am excited for them and think it will be very nice. I am setting up the show and decorating, with a lot of help. I will feel much better when I can get there and spread everything out and move it all around like a puzzle. Most people get anxious and don't know where to begin. I have been thinking about this for a month. There are 55 items. The only problem is the space. Will there be enough room for 75+ bodies, food, drinks, auction items, and a DJ. I will make it happen. I look forward to getting it all done.

You say, "what about Jackson? Where will he be in all of this?" Sleeping in his pack N play and hanging out with Daddy. I have the most supportive husband on the planet!

Now that I am working nights, Ben is in charge of Jackson from afternoon until 11 or midnight each night.
My life will be crazy until may 2013, but I am so blessed to have such a perfect schedule for our chapter in life. Plus, free coffee each week. Who wouldn't want that?!

Army crawling, rocking, and pulling up

And, here we go! Jackson is crawling faster than a turtle now and wanting to go to anything that is not toy related. Thank goodness he has not discovered the kitchen or bedrooms. Yesterday, he successfully pulled up on his table toy. Oh boy!

He is also sitting up in the bathtub, but does not like it when you turn on the water while he is in the tub. It is apparently a monster out to get him.

His personality is blossoming now. He is such a little teaser. He likes to cut his eyes at you and smirk. All the ladies in the stores and restaurantS love to chat with him. Oh, he puts on a show. Such a flirt!

Next week will be my first full week-during the week away from him. I have Starbucks training during the day. Jackson will be going to a sweet lady's house to play and then on Thursday and Friday, Be Be will be babysitting. After training, Ben will be having Daddy-son time while mommy is at work in the evenings. I am so blessed with God's plan for us at this time.

Feeling blessed,
Laura

Thank you! 8 hours

After 6 days of NO sleep, I got 8 hours of sleep! If I had gone to bed with my little man, I would have gotten 11 hours! I guess that growth spurt is over for now. Sleep is good! :)

Monday. Peaches.

Jackson gives peaches two thumbs up....well, two arms up. He gets so excited when he eats. He will either grab his hair or hit the tray if we do not feed him fast enough. Ha!

Times

11:00,11:30, 12:30,1:00, 3:00, 3:30....and then 7:15. I fed that boy three meals yesterday too. If he is going to be tall like his daddy, I guess I better get used to it. :)

Fed him at 12:45 and at 3:30. Um, growth spurts stink.

no sleep for this lady

Well, we have reverted back to month 1 when he decided he wanted to wake up every 1.5-2 hours and in baby talk try and tell me he is uncomfortable.

With the changing season, it is hard to put him in a onesie and be cold, or footie Pjs and be hot. So, I did a short sleeve, long pant, footless pjs. When he went to bed, his room was 77 degrees. At 7am, his room was 72 degrees. I was having a hard time with the A/C-Heat dilemma.

Well, he woke up at 11, 12:30, 2, 3:45, 5:20, 5:40 and 6am. I decided at 6AM that he would just come and sleep in my bed. He slept until 7am.

I ran into the doorway at 2 AM trying to figure out what the problem was. Ouch! I was a zombie all night. Ben was out of town, so I was on my own.

Thank goodness he is taking a 2 hour nap this morning, so I can have some mental time. You say, "why don't you go take a nap!??" Well, 2 cups of coffee hinders the napping process, so I guess relaxing will have "to do" for this tired lady. Daddy comes home at 2pm today and I think an afternoon nap will be in order. :)

Somehow, through all of this, I still feel blessed and humbled to be able to be a stay-at-home mommy and take care of this little boy, I call "Jack."

Well, my little Ladd is stretching and waking up. Feeding time....
