Alright, mommies! I need your help again! :) Jack is not sleeping through the night. We have tried to stop feeding him between 1-4. He wakes up at 1 and we put the paci in. Then, he wakes up at 4....and we put the paci in if he is okay "diaper wise."
Between 3-5, if he won't go to sleep, I feed him. At 7, we start our day feeding.
WELL, the last couple of days, he wants to wake up every 20 minutes from 3-5. In my book, it says that he will realize he is not going to get fed and stop waking up.
We have been giving him the paci for 3 weeks now. From 3-7, we aren't really sleeping. He isn't screaming, but he we think he won't go back to sleep.
I am fine feeding him at 4 still, but 3.....4....5..., he wakes up.
It says in "healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" that they could still get up for one night feeding until 9 months and that is normal. The constant wake up at 1, maybe 3 am is not. :(
Still learning!

Other children
I think it is hilarious that Jackson loves other children until they make a noise. Then, it is major poochy lip time.
He met a baby 11 days older than him. They were both soooo excited. Then, the baby squealed with excitement.....and it was ALL over.

5 months old
Wow! Time flies!
My son turned over from his back to his tummy unassisted and now he loves to exercise whenever possible.
He loves for us to drape a sheet or blanket on top of him so he can kick it off. Weird version of peek-a-boo/where's Jackson.
He thinks it is hilarious for me to nuzzle my nose in his chest. Mommy's game is to try not to get her hair pulled out. Ha!
He is almost sleeping through the night. I love sleep and I believe I am a much better mommy when I have it.
He is an extremely happy baby. He loves to rock and read. He can sit with me for 30 minutes to wind down from all his playtime.
I laughed today reading a book that stated "make sure your child is getting enough playtime/exercise in their day." My little Ladd actually wears himself out from kicking and turning so much. I can tell he is going to be a little athlete. I have never seen a baby kick so much in my life. I have bruises to prove it. And, when playing on the floor with him.....legs away from the face. Ha!
Ben has gotten a sweet bond with our Ladd now. He can put him to sleep now!! (yes) he loves the afternoon when Daddy comes home.
As I finish this post, my son is contently having a conversation with me in baby language. I will change his diaper and we will go play on the play mat. If Jackson finds this post one day, I hope he knows that Mommy loves him very much.
Friday, is Ben's last day of work. Starting the 30th, he will be a Junior nursing student at my alma mater. This is a new and exciting chapter for us! I know Ben will be at the top of his class!

Jurrastic Period for 4 months old
I am really loving this stage in Jackson's life. New things are happening everyday for him.
Currently, his cry has changed from a baby cry to either a baby dinosaur or a boy reaching puberty. Hard to explain, but it sounds like he is loosing his voice.....or actually gaining his voice!
He is happy now all day, except when he is hungry or ready for a nap.(what human doesn't get cranky?!?)
He is almost constantly sleeping through the night. Yay for sleep...mommy is a better mommy! No rice cereal or baby food. He is not ready. He is nursing much better and I am drinking more water to aid in the effort.
My favorite time is watching him eat. He rubs his head and hair like a newspaper editor told him to redo his article for the deadline in an hour. So intense and passionate. He also grabs my shirt which cracks me up.
I love his gummy smile. It is my goal to make him laugh and smile just to see the joy in his face!
He is 15.8 lbs and I have held him while working out. That is a workout in itself. Squats are the best!
I am almost back to pre- pregnancy weight, but my body shape has changed....darn, I have to
get new clothes! Hehehe
The Lord has taught me a lot about perseverance, faith, trust, and patience. I think that when I go back to teaching I will be much more patient! :)
Well, playtime is about to start, so I must go.
A proud mommy of a sweet miracle from the Lord,
Laura

Dentist
I hate going to the dentist. Not because of my bad teeth,(cavity free) but because the way my mouth feels afterwards. Thanks, mom, for watching Jack while I go....not sure what he could have done during the rinsing and spitting session......session is at 10 AM. I will let ya know how it goes.
